Goss has climbed back the hard way after a long and lonely journey. He was brought up in Peckham, with twin brother Luke, by his mother. Despite their poverty, there was a strong sense of community in the London Matt grew up in, and Reggie Kray even used to read poetry down the phone to him.. friend Craig, he created Bros - a band that sold sixteen million records in an intensely chaotic and record-breaking reign over the world's pop charts. By the end of his teens Matt could boast eleven Top 40 hits, number ones in 19 countries, a Brit Award, the record for being the youngest band to sell-out Wembley Stadium and the biggest selling video of all-time in the UK - ahead of Michael Jackson's Thriller. making GBP100,000 a day at one point - but the naive band didn't realise that every private jet they used was being charged back to them. Managerial disputes soon led to financial ruin, which in turn encouraged a vicious tirade by a gleeful tabloid press, hungrily trying to strip back any remaining vestiges of Matt's fame and fortune. Within a few months, he was reduced to selling his own watches to make ends meet. Matt is now making his comeback after a show-stealing performance on Hell's Kitchen and a tour that reminds both ex-Brosettes and a new audience exactly what they were missing for all those years.
